Chikurin is a traditional Japanese restaurant chain known for its ample portions and striking designs. With nine high profile restaurants in New York, Chikurin serves inventive Japanese cuisine ranging from sushi, sashimi and creative salads to signature dishes like carpaccios, ceviches, tartares, filet mignon, grilled spicy shrimp and specialty rolls. Opened in 2000 in New York, Chikurin Japanese Restaurant has established a reputation for fine Japanese cuisine. The name Chikurin means bamboo forest in Japanese and represents green engery, healthy state of mind, balance and harmony of body and spirit which are what we committed to serve at all of our Chikurin Japanese restaurant branches.
